Cordoba Archaeological and Ethnological Museum

Since 1965, the palace of the Renaissance style of the Páez de Castillejo, houses one of the most complete archaeological museums in Spain: The Archaeological Museum of Cordoba.

ES UNO DE LOS MUSEOS ARQUEOLÓGICOS MÁS COMPLETOS DE ESPAÑA Y DISTA UNOS 350 METROS DEL HOTEL BOUTIQUE CAIRELES

The site is the venue for anthropological conferences, exhibitions, archaeological conferences and various Educational Programs.

Its building, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in the “monument” category since 1962, was expanded in 1998, where an adjoining building is annexed. Precisely during the archaeological studies prior to the works, the very old theater of Colonia Patricia Corduba was discovered, whose ruins are preserved in the museum itself.

The museum has an inventory of around 35,000 pieces, some of enormous antiquity and others of incalculable cultural value.
